End Times or Just Normal Man Made Destruction?

It has been a while since I've blogged last but lets see if I still have the skills at my disposal to make a coherent sentence!

Today I was reading an article in the McLean that the Jordan river where Jesus Christ was baptized is currently working at 2% than it's natural capacity. Due to several reasons primarily man made structures the once great Jordan river is now filled with raw sewage from the surrounding cities. What they will do is dump their raw sewage into a giant landfill. Unfortunately what has ended up happening is the sewage has begun to seep into the Jordan river causing it to be a smelling, murky, stream as compared the the clear roaring river it once was. There's several nature conservationist groups attempting to repair the damage that has been caused to this biblical historical sight but the damage may simply be too severe and by time the sewage treatment centers are operational, scientists predict the Jordan river will be nothing but a dried up pond.

This forced me to think about the ramifications of what this may just mean. Last month the same magazine stated that the sea of Galilee that has been ripe with fish from the days when Jesus walked on water is all but deserted of it's former resources. 'Overfishing' was on the top of everyone's mind at the time but they still can not figure out the reason for the sudden disappearance of the fish. Fed from the Jordan River, the Sea of Galilee is actually a fresh water lake approximately 12.5 miles long and 7 miles wide. Coincidence anyone?

Either way I found this very fascinating some may view it as a sign of end times others may view it as the destructive nature of man. Myself... view it as a little bit of both.

Our Day at the Zoo!

Logan and I took a day trip to the Calgary Zoo on June 23rd. We got lost going out of Sherwood Park, due to my (Sarah) amazing navigational skills! Logan though to this day has done nothing but laugh about it in a nice way, and not make me feel stupid for it!

I am a little dyslexic, though I haven't been actually tested. But I strongly believe I am! :D

Anywho, we saw animals from geckos to lizards, to 10ft (I kid you not) snakes, to porcupines and Zebra's. Everything from Hippos, to little tiny fish. From Tiny monkeys that had Mohawks, to huge elephants! I wish I could put more pictures up here, but I don't want to overwhelm the reader :)

Anywho, it was very warm that day so we had some icecream and a slurpee (for quite a reasonable price actually).

Saw random Peacocks everywhere...not sure if that was actually good or not, the one we got close up to was apparently claiming its territory!!

These birds were characters! Seriously!! They are called Blue McCaws!
And they only came to the fence closest to us when I brought out my camera, it was almost as if they knew the camera was their time to shine! It was pretty hilarious actually!
There were two of them, you can only see one in this picture, but if you look at the very top of the picture you can see the other one's tail!

They worked together almost like they were mimicking each other!!! It was very humorous!!
And they wouldn't stop doing things until Logan had to practically drag me away from them! I was waaaayyyy to enthralled with them! I probably could have stayed there all day and been happy!
But thanks to Logan, we saw so much other stuff!!!

Our next trip is to Drumheller!

I'm going to show Logan the Royal Tyrrel Museum! He's never seen the mountains or the hoodoo's, or anything of the sort! And seeing as how he wants to see dinosouars, I was like "HEYYYYY!!! Lets go to the Tyrrel Museum! You'll love it!!!". At first he was tentative, not quite sure what he was signing up for, but between you and I, he still doesn't know :P

Our First Blog Together

Hey everyone,
We finally got our blog started up (Thank you Sharayah and Theo).
Today is the day after Logan's 20th bitrhday and apparently he doesn't feel any older :)
Besides the fact that his wrist is hurting :P

We had a few friends come over, and play Rock Band with us! Had some snacks and stuff, just relaxed! Logan had to get his liscence renewed yesterday so that was kind of lame! But oh well! Life still goes on! (Unfortunately! :P)

Pray for my family (Loewen) as we are going through some tough times! It would be much appreciated!

First blog...not quite sure what to say! haha

Our next blog will hopefully have more to say in it! We are going to be trying to keep this a regular occurance! haha!!
